Review Us On:

Update: I was contacted by Nikki the owner of Nikos Montecasino afer my initial review. Nikki spent some time on the phone with me to aplogise for the poor food quality and invited me back to try and make up for the lapse in service. Initially I was reluctant as I did not want free food, but decided to go back as the previous visits were good. My wife and I went back last night and had an enjoyable meal consisting of Falafels, Three Greek Brothers and Chickpea Yiro. Thank you Nikki, David, Godfrey and Nolwazi for taking the effort reach out to us. We had enjoyable experience similar to our past visits. We will be back soon. Original Review: This was my 4th and last visit that I will ever have to Nikos Monte Casino. The food on the previous visits was always yummy. The good: The online reservation process was really efficient and painless. We ordered Hake and chips, and my wife enjoyed it, A lamb Yiro which was also good. The bad: Calamari was mediocre with no flavour, and lastly a burger which was just plain horrible. The first burger was completely raw, and while I enjoy a good steak tartare that was not what I wanted to eat between a burger bun today. They replaced it with another burger which actually tasted worse than the raw burger. I should have just eaten the raw burger. :-) I ended up eating alone after everyone else finished their food, as my first burger was brought to the table much later than the other meals, and then I sat and twiddled my thumbs while they made the second burger. We chose not to have desert which is usually the one of the best parts of a Greek meal. Since it was my wifes birthday I chose not to make an issue out of it. Management were basically not interested. The poor waitress apologised a few times for something that was not her fault. - Craig Paul | 6 January 2025
